Offsite Programs

Although our central facility is located in central Atlanta in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area (5775 Peachtree Dunwoody Road Building C-Suite 225), we recognize that many participants may find it easier to attend our programs in other parts of the Metro Atlanta area. That’s why we’ve expanded our programs to include the areas of Cumming, Canton, and Decatur.

  • Support
    Weekly drop-in support group for people with cancer and their loved ones. Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30pm. Bldg. 1400, Suite 180 - Conf. Room  RSVP

  • Education

    Lunch n’ Learn at Tam’s Backstage - Space is Limited,
      Friday, July 11th, 11:30am-2:00pm

    Join us at Tam’s Backstage for lunch and an educational presentation about genetic testing. Selvi Palaniappan, MS, Genetic Counselor of Northside Hospital, will lead this program. Learn about the benefits, risks and limitations of genetic testing, when it comes to breast and ovarian cancer.

Sleep & Cancer -  Wednesday, August 27th, 12:30-2:00
Restful sleep and Cancer are rarely synonymous....come learn about the different reasons about why that is. Cynthia Blount, RN, BSN, CPHQ, Director of the Sleep Disorders Center & Vascular/Neurodiagnostics lab of Northside Hospital, will be discussing the origins of sleep disturbances when it comes to cancer & the various mechanisms that can be utilized to manage those problems.  Bldg. 1400, Suite 180, Administrative Board Room.  Refreshments provided. Those who attend this program will receive a special gift that will make you sleep a little more soundly.  RSVP

  • Stress Reduction
    Yoga Classes - Class will be held in either “Classroom A or B” in Bldg 1400.  11am - 12:15pm on 7/2, 7/16, 7/21, 8/13, 8/18 & 8/27.

    T’ai Chi Classes - Class will be held in either “Classroom A or B” in Bldg 1400. 11am - 12:15pm  on 7/7, 8/4 & 8/25

SEGO Buddies Support Group:  Drop-in support for women living with gynecologic
cancer. Bring your lunch, beverages provided. Caregivers Welcome. Sponsored by
SEGO Buddies Peer Support Program and Southeastern Gynecologic Oncology. RSVP
to Katherine Easton, LCSW or Janet Kempe, Co-facilitators @ 678.420.4117 or
segobuddies@segynonc.com. 3rd Wednesday, 12-2pm, of each month.

Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation Support Group: Brain tumor survivors and their
family, friends & caregivers are welcome. 2nd Tuesdays, 7-8:30pm. www.sbtf.org

Look Good Feel Better: Sponsored by ACS, CTFA foundation & NCA, this program offers
assistance with makeup, hair & scarves to assist you while undergoing chemotherapy and
radiation. To RSVP call ACS @ 404.315.1123. 2nd Mondays, 10am-12pm

Luzca Bien….Siéntase Mejor: Ese taller práctico de dos horas, enseñado por cosmetólogos
voluntarios, incluye un programa de 12 etapas para el maquillaje y el cuidado de la
piel. 1:00-3:00pm
